Logan Mitchell, Ph.D.

My research interests include understanding the processes controlling emissions, transport, and chemistry of trace greenhouse gases (e.g. carbon dioxide and methane) and air pollutants (e.g. particulate matter and ozone) across a range of timescales. Currently I am investigating the long-term trends in CO2 mixing ratios at five stations across the Salt Lake City Metropolitan area over the past ~15 years. I am also leading the collaborative project using UTA TRAX light-rail train cars as a measurement platform to observe spatio-temporal patterns of greenhouse gases and air pollutants across Salt Lake City, UT. The preliminary real-time data from this project can be viewed here.
